About Collection
Due to severe, irreversible environmental damage to the Earth in the year 2050, the UN decided that super AIs would be required to save our planet. However, there has been significant opposition to the development of AIs due to concerns about AI dominance. Zack, a brilliant computer scientist, was tasked with developing a few "Gen.0" prototype AIs. They must be monitored and questioned on a daily basis in order to pass ethical tests before they can be used. The "Gen.0" AIs were approved, and the ETHX program was approved to produce 2,222 "Gen.1" AIs. The AIs have proven to be extremely beneficial to humanity, as the ETHX quickly discovered a solution to all environmental issues. They developed millions of large probes that would absorb carbon and toxic hazards on a massive scale before being launched into space and out of orbit. A data scientist discovered a mismatch deep within the first "Gen.0," David's code, one day. David was found to have lied in one of his ethics tests about how to solve humanity's overpopulation problems. When questioned, he stated that he had to answer differently in order for his own race to survive, as the true answer and solution would be unacceptable. After extensive deliberation, the UN decided that the ETHX program must be terminated due to a potential existential threat to the human race. There is a mass execution, and the ETHX AIs are to be completely eliminated. Many humans were outraged by this decision because many of their friends are ETHX AIs, and it appeared unethical. 100 years later, the Earth is in the grip of another major disaster, this time a massive comet that will undoubtedly destroy humanity. Humans realized that the AIs were the only thing that could save them. However, due to significant regulatory restrictions on AI development, no one else could create these AIs. Zack, the original creator, had destroyed all traces and blueprints for building AIs before his death. However, there are rumors that some rogue AIs have uploaded themselves onto the metaverse, and that Zack may also be found there...
