Pixa

The first PixaBrew NFT was created in February 2021, giving birth to "PixaLyfe." This project, created with the OpenSea contract, taught us about the NFT space, the significance of the token type, data storage, and the overall technicalities of the space. We noticed from the Hashmasks project's popularity that crypto users were looking for NFTs to use as profile pictures on social media. From there, we developed the PixaWizards, 1,000 pixelated wizard NFTs that were minted in February and March 2021. We decided to mint the wizards on an erc721 contract deployed via rarible, but owned by us, due to a lack of technical ability at the time. Due to contract constraints, we had to pre-mint all NFTs prior to sale, resulting in massive up-front minting gas fees that we had to absorb. We had planned the pricing so that we could hopefully recoup enough profit from the sale to cover the minting costs and finish the collection. That dream was realized at the end of March, and it was at that point that we decided to broaden the scope of the project beyond wizards and brews. We created the PixaRealm, which is our metaverse where our collections can be found. This expansion included new collections (factions, creatures, and items), a governance system (The WizarDAO), utility tokens like $PIXA, and an immersive 3D metaverse for our NFT owners to explore. This included a rebranding to "Pixa NFT," as well as new logos, a website, and documentation. We've had so much fun working on Pixa NFT with you all, and we can't wait to see what the future holds!
