About Collection
Just several months ago, I was 140 pounds. However, when I stepped on the scale and hit the 170-pound threshold, I finally told myself that I have had enough, and that it's time to make a change again. I used the word “again” because this is probably the fifth time that I am going through this—repeating this weight-loss process all by myself. My name is Kurt, and I have always had numerous ups and downs with regard to my weight. I used to have a six pack; however, and after three months it tends to turn back into layers of fluffy fat. Worst of all, I begin to hate myself. Then, I go on a lonely journey of weight loss and build my six pack once again, only to lose it. The journey is tough, with fat shaming when I enter the gym, unmotivated days, messing up diets, and no one relatable to talk to. After a tough gym session, I walked into a local deli café. I sat down, ordered a sandwich, my favorite salad, and a cup of black coffee. It was a major contrast to the gym; there were no judgmental looks and no sense of not belonging. Most of all, I felt relaxed. “What if there is a gym that would make me feel as easy going as a deli,” I thought. At that very moment, it clicked. Immediately, I rang up my best friend, Step, shared how I felt, and described what I wanted to create and achieve. We ended the phone call with a confident “Let’s do this.” This is how it all began.
